| Yahelite is the chat client I choose to use. It has filters to
stop things like sound bombs, pm bombs, invite bombs, and boot
codes. What this means is that basically you can chat in piece
without having to worry about little kids and their annoying toys.
Yahelite also has a plethora of features such as total control over
the appearance of everything you see on the chat screen, quick
profiles, Webcam and much more. On the down side Yahelite
uses font smileys rather than bitmap ones. |

| CheetaChat by

| CheetaChat is an excellent chat client for those who just want
to chat. This is not to say it doesn't have plenty of features,
what I mean is that it is simple to use. Cheetachat's clean and
simple user interface makes it the choice of many chatters.
Cheetachat also allows you to send files directly to other
cheetachat users, and also allows the use of avatars ( A small
image before your name in the chat room) which can be seen by other
Cheetchat users. One downside of Cheeta is it's lack of webcam
support. |

| I have only ever used Ychat briefly and to be honest I didn't
think much of it, I found it ugly and user unfriendly. But some
seem to like it and it supports yahoo's webcam. So I put it here
for you to download and draw your own conclusions. |

| Yahoo! Messenger |
| Yahoo's messenger now has a built in chat client. To be honest
it sucks big time. The maximum font size is set to high, and it is
so full of exploits that people with no lives find it amusing to
make programs that allow users to boot or otherwise annoy people
chatting thru messenger. My advice is get a decent chat client like
those preceding this one and just use messenger for talking to your
friends and sharing files. Yahoo Messenger now has more smileys
than any other chat client and has IMViroments which are various
and often interactive backgrounds for use in IM's ( NOT pm's ) |
